Artist Comments:

This still life was inspired by a photograph of fruit and an old candle sitting on a table with a metal goblet. This painting is also part of a series of still lifes which are all related in some way.

In the spring of 2008 I entered "Still Life with Fruit & Candle " in the Van Zandt County Fair arts and crafts show in Canton and it won "First Place" in the still life division .
