Art Commissions
Please note: I do not do replicas or copy the work of other artists. No expections.
I welcome art commissions of any kind. I will do a special oil painting just for you of any subject matter, such as: (At this time I am unable to take on any new art commissions. )
- Portraits of your family, children, relatives, friends, pets, or some other loved one.
- Places you've visited or would like to visit someday, or perhaps you'd like a painting done of your home or family homestead; the house, town, or place where you grew up.
- Favorite photograph. If you have a photograph you love and would like a painting done of it, I can do that too.
Whatever your heart's desire I can turn it into a painting just for you. See the instructions below on what I will need from you before I can get started on your special oil painting.
Art commission instructions.
If you have a special painting in mind contact me! I will be happy to do a special oil painting just for you. All I need to get started is a good photograph of the subject you would like a painting of and a small non-refundable deposit which is applied toward the total purchase price of your painting. You'll find me easy to work with and my prices are reasonable.
If you see a painting in my collection you like, but that painting has already sold or you would like it in a different size, I will be happy to do a reproduction painting or a similar one of it for you as a commissioned oil painting. Please note, I will only do a reproduction or similar painting of my own work. I will do a painting with the same subject matter as another artist's painting but I will not copy the work of other artists.
I'll work hard to give you a painting you'll love and be proud of. However, if for any reason you are not happy with the finished piece, you are not obligated to purchase the painting. The only exception to this is portraits of family members or friends. Contact me when you're ready to commission me to do a special painting for you.
When you contact me be sure to include the following information. It will assist me with your quote.
Information to include:

What is the approximate size of the painting you have in mind?

What type of painting? (Landscape, seascape, portrait, etc.)

What is the subject matter? (Mountain, trees, park, fruit, flowers, people, animals, etc.) Be descriptive, or better yet, send a digital photo you want a painting from via email.

If it is a portrait, how many people/pets in a single painting?

Would you want me to frame the painting for you before shipping it?

Plus include anything else you feel I might need to know.
What I need from you:

A good clear photo of the subject matter as you want it to appear in your painting. This photo should be one you are completely happy with. If not provide another one you are happy with or be very specific regarding what changes you want made to the subject matter contained within the photo.
Please keep in mind I am a realistic artist and I will attempt to create your painting as close to the photo as I possibly can unless you specify otherwise.

Your deposit. This small non-refundable deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price of your painting. Except for portraits of family members and friends, you are not obligated to purchase the painting if you are not happy with it. However the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit covers the cost of materials used to begin your painting.

Your patience. You no doubt want me to do a good job for you. Although I will work as quickly as I possible can, please keep in mind, your painting won't happen over night. Your patience will ensure I create a painting you will be happy with and bring you years of enjoyment.
Also please remember that I work with oil paints. Drying time varies with each painting. I will wait until your painting is dry enough to safely package before shipping it to you. Neither of us would want any surprises when you unpack your painting the day it arrives.
